Each new combination valve I would get afterward warrantying information technology out would eventually leak in six months. I decided to put in a Wilwood proportioning valve and change the brake lines out from the master cylinder. Anyways, I take not been able to find a brake line adapter to go from the rear brake line to the Wilwood.

The rear brake line is 9/sixteen - xviii flare 1/4 inch tube. The Wilwood has a 1/8 NPT. Information technology came with an adapter that was too small on the flare side. And then my friend chopped up the combination valve and welded the adapter to the combo valve piece. It worked out pretty well but he kind of messed up the threads. And so it started leaking after a few days. So practice I have to get to a junkyard and repeat the cutting welding affair to brand another adapter? Or has someone done this earlier and institute an adapter?

My other option would be to yank out the restriction line and put a smaller plumbing fixtures on it after cut off the 9/16.

There is i identify I institute the nine/16-three/8 flare adapters only hard to find. Using a 1/8 NPT to 3/8 could become that to piece of work -or put a 3/8 flare nut on the line and re double flare it.

At that place are prop valves with a three/8 flare congenital on them.

I recently upgraded my front brakes on my 1980 Z28 with Wilwood Dynalite restriction kit. I kept the rear drum brakes as I take built the machine for drag racing. The trouble is adapting the male person 9/16 X i/4 Ten 18 hard line plumbing fixtures to the female 3/8 x3/16 x24 size used on the residual valve and the proportioning valve. I contacted Wilwood with no luck resolving this event. The hunt for a fitting finally took me to BrakeConnect hardware and tools. They had the plumbing equipment I needed, they call information technology a thread changer function number BQ261 $ 3.66 Usa. BrakeConnect has an astonishing selection of fittings and adapters. I've seen some pretty scetchy ways to overcome this problem by using multiple fitting that don't always belong together! This is the safest manner to make the connectedness.

I did exactly the same affair and replaced the entire one/four" line with 3/xvi' after spending a weekend on the internet searching high and low for an adapter. At that place is a thread on here of someone finding ane but I never did, see mail #11: https://nastyz28.com/threads/adjustable-brake-proportioning-valve.332033/

Share the PN so those in the future don't have to spend $90 to accept a new line fabricated like I did :whine:

I wish I could. I threw away the packaging at to the lowest degree year agone.
I think I used this valve with the adapters off the Dorman rack to resize the inlet/outlet.

If you do not take their part numbers already, it is difficult to order annihilation straight from Wilwood. I had to buy dissever adapters to plumb the line into their master cylinder besides. The kit did non take the right size included.
